About Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary – Come across the beauty of the jungle!

The name of this wildlife sanctuary is derived from the combination of Nawapara and Bar forest villages. Both of these places lie right in the centre of the sanctuary. In the Raipur district, the Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary lies to the north eastern region with varying hillocks, forests, and undulating terrain. The Mahanadi river feeds the entire forest. This forest is fully stocked with a wide range of flora and fauna. You can very easily spot the Indian Bison, Sambhar, Cheetal, Wild Boar, and Neelgai. As many as 150 different species of birds can be located in here.
